The challenge
A Friday in-store event in Philadelphia on August 21, 2026 booked five hours of live screen printing, 2 to 7 p.m. The client supplied 250 black and grey tees and wanted four different designs spread across them. Every print went on the front, in a single ink color matched to the client's Pantone.
The activation
The prep was specific to the job. Screens were made for the designs, and the Pantone 4189 C ink was bought for this event. Two Merch Troop staff arrived at least 90 minutes before the start, loaded in through the store's front door and set up manual screen presses on the sales floor, between the shoe walls and the apparel racks. Through the afternoon they printed one color in one location on each shirt, with the four designs split across the 250. At the client's request, the crew wore all-black clothing with no logos.
The result
It's live screen printing at its simplest: one color, one location, a matched ink, four designs across 250 shirts, and five hours inside a store to print them.
