The challenge
The event needed 200 sling bags customized on-site at the LA Convention Center over a two-day window. Each bag required custom patch application drawn from three distinct designs, plus generic patches added as accent decoration. The production schedule ran tight daily blocks with no margin for setup delays.
The activation
Merch Troop deployed a two-person crew with full heat press equipment into the LA Convention Center for May 18–19. The team operated Monday 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and Tuesday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., running live decoration the entire time. Two hundred sling bags moved through the station, each receiving custom patches pulled from three different designs. Generic patches were applied alongside the branded ones for decorative layering. The crew handled event production, setup, and teardown entirely in-house.
The result
All 200 sling bags were decorated and ready for distribution by the close of day two. The two-person team executed setup, full production runs, and teardown across both days without outside support.
