The challenge
A two-day show at the Orange County Convention Center, September 22 and 23, 2026, booked on-site patch application at a booth. The client supplied everything that got decorated: 800 hats and its own patches. What it needed from Merch Troop was presses and people for two ten-hour days.
The activation
Two staff ran two heat presses. The booth went up on Monday the 21st, and the equipment had to be on site by the Friday before. Tuesday ran 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the crew in at 8 for a 9 o'clock start. Wednesday started an hour earlier, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work itself was one thing, repeated all day: applying the client's patches to the client's hats at the booth.
The result
When the client brings the goods and the patches, the job is all application. There were no blanks to buy and no art to approve on Merch Troop's side, just two presses running across two long show days.
