The challenge
The client arrived with their own caps and two custom-logo patches and needed guests to walk away with a personalized, finished hat — not a blank. That meant combining live embroidery with on-site heat press patch application in a single, flowing activation.
The activation
A two-person Merch Troop crew ran a dual-station hat bar: one side handling live single-color initial embroidery, the other running a heat press for patch application. Guests chose their initials, had them stitched in white directly onto their client-provided caps, then pressed on one of the two custom-logo patches. A selection of generic patches was also available for anyone who wanted to stack more coverage. Every hat was finished on-site before the guest left the station.
The result
Up to 33 caps moved through the activation fully decorated — embroidered and patched — in a single event window. Guests left with a hat that mixed their own initials with client-supplied branding, produced live in front of them.
