The challenge
An exhibitor at a developer summit held at the New York Marriott Marquis on April 2, 2026 booked a live tote station for its booth. The station ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The power plan for the presses was spelled out in the booking itself.
The activation
Two staff ran two heat presses, applying full-color DTF graphics to one side of black premium totes, with several designs for guests to choose from. The quantity was left open and settled on the day. Each press ran on a standard three-prong household plug at 110 to 120 volts, drawing about 12 to 15 amps and 1,200 to 1,500 watts. Ideally, each press gets its own dedicated 20-amp circuit. The crew set up before the show opened and tore down after it closed, seven hours on site in all.
The result
It's a small footprint that runs on ordinary outlets: two people, two presses, and a tote with a design each guest picked.
