The challenge
An event in Frontenac, in St. Louis County, on July 11, 2026 booked a live tote bar for 100 guests. The live window was three hours, noon to 3 p.m., and the booking called for a single crew member traveling in.
The activation
The totes went ahead of the crew. Merch Troop bought 100 black cotton canvas totes and had them delivered straight to the client before the event. The artwork was one full-color DTF design, 12 by 12 inches, ordered as transfers ahead of time. On the day, one Merch Troop crew member ran a single heat press station and pressed the design onto each guest's tote. The booking was a five-hour minimum covering setup, the three live hours and teardown.
The result
It's the smallest version of a live print booth: one person, one press, one design. With the totes already delivered to the client and a single transfer per bag, the work at the table came down to placing the transfer and pressing it.
