The challenge
The client needed a live, on-site DTF personalization experience for guests bringing their own shirts and totes to an outdoor event at Plaza Mexico in Lynwood. There was no access to building power, so the entire production rig had to be self-sufficient. The run window — 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. — required continuous output with no downtime.
The activation
A three-person crew deployed a tent and generator directly at the plaza, operating completely off the grid. Guests arrived with their own garments and fed them into the queue on the spot. Each piece received a 10-inch front-center DTF transfer — one logo, one location, single-color artwork — heat-pressed and finished in minutes. The crew absorbed setup and full teardown within the six-hour window, keeping usable production time uninterrupted.
The result
All 200 customer-provided pieces moved through the press and left finished before the event closed. The generator-and-tent footprint required nothing from the venue and kept the activation running on schedule start to finish.
