The challenge
A brand's product launch party in Denver on September 22, 2026 booked a live patch bar for 100 guests. The client provided 100 beanies. The party ran 5:30 to 9 p.m., and the setup call was mid-afternoon.
The activation
Merch Troop supplied the patches: 200 of them, 50 each of four designs, none bigger than 2 by 2 inches. Guests picked from those, and the crew heat-pressed them onto the beanies at two stations with two staff, so two guests could be at the presses at once. The presses were delivered to the client on September 18, four days out, and Merch Troop's manager traveled in for the night. The booking covered seven hours with setup and teardown.
The result
The whole kit was two presses, two people and a box of patches, and it fit inside a launch party that ran into the evening. With four designs and 200 patches for 100 guests, there was room for choice at the table.
